My Story with Archery
When I was 13, I was obsessed with the book series Ranger’s Apprentice. I was like Ralphie from A Christmas Story, only wanting wanting one thing from that book, a bow. So after working for a little while and saving, I bought my first bows, the Diamond Razor Edge compound and the Great Tree Advantage recurve.
I shot my bows throughout my high school years, mainly shooting at targets, bow fishing and some small game. I stopped shooting after when life got busy and I fell out of my archery days.
Two years ago, I became extremely sick and was in and out of the hospital for a the tail end of 2021. While I was in there and making goals for after I healed, I decided to work for my bucket list items I always wanted to achieve.
My girlfriend(now wife) started watching one of her family favorite shows, The Walking Dead, and we began going on “zombie prep” dates with archery being one of the dates
Over the next few months after, I began looking more into archery and began working towards my goal of big game hunting, especially with my bow. This blogging part of the website will be all about the things I am learning and sharing from my progress
